Build 003
Built
CropMaker
When planting and spray jobs get typed twice — once for the office, once for the cab.
Integrations · AB lines · Reporting · JD Ops Center
The problem
Office and cab were working from parallel truths.
A mixed winter-crops enterprise in the Western Districts was re-keying planting and spray jobs between John Deere Operations Center and PTx FarmENGAGE. Same work, two systems, two chances to get it wrong.
The question
Can one job survive the trip from plan to display?
Without someone retyping it — and without guidance lines getting lost in the handoff.
The build
Reporting and AB line conversion that treats the job as one thread.
CropMaker maps how plans move from account setup through task creation to the display. It aligns organisation boundaries, formats and seasonal handoffs so both platforms can support one shared schedule.
OPS CENTER → TRANSFORM → FARMENGAGE / CAB
The outcome
One schedule. Guidance without re-keying.
Operators and agronomists referenced the same work. AB lines applied without entering the job twice between office and cab.
What we learned
Integration is a workflow problem before it's an API problem.
Clear ownership of each step — who creates the job, who owns the format, who checks the display — made the technical connection hold. Without that, the API just moves the mess faster.
Could this be useful to you?
If your systems stop talking somewhere between the office and the machine, we want to hear where.
