Problem

Over 250,000 birds per drop, lean staffing, frequent audits, and critical shed adjustments managed across WhatsApp, phone notes and disconnected spreadsheets — no single source of truth.

Approach

Mapped the operational and data flow end to end, then built enterprise software: organisation → farm → shed structure, role-based access, daily shed capture, analytics and export-ready reporting.

Outcome

One coherent operational picture from placement through processing handoff — workflows that reduce re-entry and improve audit readiness at scale.

Platform capabilities

  • Organisation → farm → shed structure for enterprise-level visibility and control.
  • Role-based access across owners, managers, employees and contractors.
  • Daily shed data capture for mortality, feed, water and shed conditions.
  • Operational dashboards, analytics and export-ready reporting.
  • Workflows that reduce re-entry and improve audit readiness.

From operating problem to working platform

Problem

Critical daily records lived across messages, notes and spreadsheets, with no single source of truth.

Idea

Model the enterprise around how farms, sheds, batches and people actually interact.

Prototype

Tested role-based workflows and daily shed capture with the operating team before expanding the system.

Outcome

Enterprise software now connects daily execution, analytics, reporting and audit readiness.

What we learned

Operational fit mattered more than adding features. The platform became useful when the data model followed real shed work and responsibility.

The same method applies across enterprises

This build shows how Agri-IT maps complex operations, designs practical data architecture, and delivers software that fits real work. The approach applies across livestock, cropping and mixed enterprises where off-the-shelf software cannot keep pace.
